Skoda Octavia 4

Sustainable energy

A 10.4 kWh battery for not only always starting in electric mode, but also guaranteeing up to 56 km of 100% electric range (E-Mode). It can be recharged using AC sockets with charging powers of up to 3.6 kW, after which it can take between 3.5 and 5 hours to restore the full capacity.

Just looking at the numbers for the plug-in hybrid variant of the Skoda Octavia Breakthrough these are promising. The 150 hp 1.4 TSi is associated with an 85 kW (116 hp) electric motor, offering a maximum combined power of 204 hp.
This translates into a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.7s and a top speed of 220 km/h.
Whenever we have the batteries charged, in electric mode (the default mode when we start the car), if there is enough charge, we have close to 45 km of real autonomy without having to make concessions to the pace, and in hybrid mode it is easy to reach averages of 2.4 l /100 km.

Interior

Entering the passenger compartment, the same lines that are now cleaner and, at the same time, more sophisticated, plus the technological touch conveyed by the almost disappearance of the physical buttons – only a “keyboard” remains on the center console -, replaced by the much in vogue hepatic commands. Present in the new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, great grip, but also with a somewhat... unusual design, from which it is now possible to operate a total of 14 different functions.
