CITROËN C5 X

Sustainable energy

With 1.2 turbo 130 hp and 1.6 turbo 180 hp petrol engines (both associated with 6-speed automatic transmissions).

The range is completed with the plug-in hybrid version (PHEV, capable of guaranteeing at least 50 km of autonomy in purely electric mode) with 225 hp, which combines the 1.6 turbo petrol unit with the 110 hp electric machine.

New is the infotainment interface with enhanced connectivity (wireless connection, charging and mirroring of Android and Apple mobile phones) and with a new 12” touch screen.

Citroën also promises an operating system with voice recognition with natural voice and expressions and a new large head-up display (and some functions with augmented reality), colored and projected on the windshield, which is the first time for the brand French (until now the information was projected onto a plastic sheet that rose from the top of the panel, a more elementary solution, cheaper and less pleasant to use).

Interior

Inside, the promise is to set new standards in this D segment of generalist brands, through the use of seats with especially comfortable upholstery that aims to create an effect of contact with the human body similar to that of a good mattress. Acoustic comfort has not been neglected, with laminated glass being applied to the windshield and rear window, a solution usually seen among premium manufacturers.

The luggage compartment, with a capacity of 545 litres, confirms the family vocation of the Citroën C5 X (whose total length is 4.80 m), but also makes it suitable for transporting surfboards or other bulky equipment, especially if the backrest is folded down. of the second row seats, creating a cargo space of up to 1640 litres.
