The 16-kilowatt battery and compact rear-mounted electric motor ensured the i-MiEV's driving range reached 62 miles (official EPA range) and offered excellent performance. The EV's compact dimensions were perfect for city driving, but the smart interior also resulted in a cabin with space for up to four people.
The Mitsubishi i-MIEV has an engine and rear-wheel drive, but the 67 hp translates into just 15.9s from 0 to 100 km/h, for a limited top speed of 130 km/h. There is no doubt… i-MIEV's ambitions began and ended in the city.
