Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV

Sustainable energy

In addition to being able to drive in 100% electric mode up to 160 km/h, another relevant data of this Mercedes-Benz GLE has to do with charging time. In a 100 kWh charger we can have 80% of the autonomy in 20 minutes (that is, the energy needed for 80 km), while in a normal 3.7 kWh charger the entire battery is charged in four hours. Finally, it should be noted that the average consumption announced for the first 100 km is 1.1 litres, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 30 g/km.

We find a four-cylinder diesel engine with 2.0 l, 194 hp and 400 Nm that appears associated with an electric motor with 100 kW (136 hp) and 440 Nm. The end result is a combined power of 320 hp and 700 Nm.

Interior

Inside, the environment has been completely renovated, with emphasis on the new 12.3-inch screen (in fact, there are two positioned continuously) that show all the instrumentation and infotainment information (MBUX), which can be configured in the modes Modern Classic, Sport, Progressive and Discreet. The central screens can be 18 or 22 inches. It is possible to control the system via the steering wheel, the touchscreen, the touch pad on the center console (instead of a rotary control) and gesture and voice commands. As an option, there is a head-up display system. Another novelty is the Energizing system, which simultaneously controls various elements of the car (air conditioning, music, seats with massage and ambient lighting) to adapt to the driver's state of mind.
