Mercedes-Benz EQA

Sustainable energy

The Mercedes-Benz EQA has a useful 66.5 kWh battery. It is located under the floor, in the center, and divided into five modules. In fact, the EQA battery is even significantly larger (80 kW) but the brand says that “for quality reasons” we can only count on the aforementioned 66.5 kWh. It is with them that, supposedly, we can count on the 426 km of autonomy in WLTP mode.

The total power of this version is 140 kW (190 hp) for a maximum torque of 375 Nm, although in the brand's plans there are already other variants already planned, one with a range of more than 500 kilometers and another with a power of more than 200 kW (272 hp), also including all-wheel drive with two electric motors. According to Mercedes-EQ, the increase in autonomy will have to be achieved through gains in efficiency and not in the size or capacity of the batteries, which would imply an increase in weight.

Interior

The strong point of the EQA is undoubtedly its spacious interior. The luggage compartment is not among the references of the segment, with 340 liters (95 less than the GLA).
This combines a premium build quality and state-of-the-art technology. By the way, the MBUX infotainment system is one of the brightest today.
