Ford Kuga

Sustainable energy

The self-charging Ford Kuga Hybrid combines an extremely efficient 2.5-litre Duratec engine with a battery-activated electric motor and optional all-wheel drive (AWD). The Kuga Hybrid recovers the energy that is normally lost during deceleration. This process is similar to the EcoBlue Hybrid, but the larger battery can store more energy to further improve fuel economy and even allow short distances to be covered on electric power alone. Like the Plug-In Hybrid, it has a petrol automatic transmission, which is smooth to drive and incredibly capable, with a towing capacity of 1.5 to 1.6 tonnes.

The dashboard of the Kuga ST-Line X PHEV includes two 12.3-inch and eight-inch digital screens for the instrumentation and infotainment system, respectively. The graphics are sharp and clearly present the most important driving information, including battery charge level, electric range, kilometers traveled in electric mode, fuel consumption, among others – and the different parameters can be configured in depending on user preference.

Interior

The sporty spirit extends to an interior that features a dark headliner, seats with an exclusive ST-Line design, with red contrasting stitching, aluminum pedals, flat multifunction steering wheel, ST-line floor mats and scuff plates.

The dashboard and center console are almost identical to those of theFocus, which, in turn, are an evolution of the Fiesta. This translates into excellent ergonomics and easy access to climate control and touch screen controls. On the other hand, the materials used are hard and dark, with the exception of some plastic that is soft to the touch on the upper part of the dashboard and above the door supports.
